X Factor Winner Louisa Johnson To Rush-Release Her Debut Album & It’s Coming Sooner Than You Think
According to iTunes it will be released in February 2016...
It seems that we’ll be hearing some new music from Louisa Johnson sooner than expected with plans to rush-release her debut album in February 2016.
The X Factor winner released her first single ‘Forever Young’ just two weeks ago, however, it’s performance was a little disappointing by The X Factor’s standards having only reached number nine in the Official Chart.
With this in mind, the track is well out of the running for Christmas number one, unlike previous X Factor winners who have managed to bag the festive top spot quite easily.
It is usual procedure for the winner of The X Factor to wait almost a year until they launch an album, but according to this new iTunes listing, Louisa will be rush-releasing her debut album early next year with an expected release date of 26th February.
Previous winner Sam Bailey also went for a quick release with her debut album coming out in March 2014 after winning the show in late 2013.
Speaking to Digital Spy the 17-year-old revealed her plans for releasing music, saying: “I will not release anything unless it's how I want it to be. I wouldn't just release an album because I want to get it out there.”
She continued: “I’d take my time with it. I'd have to make sure I like it 100% and if I don't like it, no way is it going out. People are going to know me through that album - so it needs to be perfect.”
