Love Island's Alex Bowen Just Dropped His Clothing Line MVMNT And You're Going To Want It All - Exclusive
It's unisex vibe means his fiance, Olivia Buckland, can't get enough of it.
Alex Bowen won the hearts of the nation, and not to mention Olivia Buckland's, when he appeared on Love Island in 2016.
But now the Brummy lad is hoping to win over fashion lovers with his debut clothing line, MVMNT, and we reckon he's on to a winner.
Check out what happened when Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen played Mr & Mrs...
Speaking exclusively to MTV, Alex dished on his new collection: "The brand is called MVMNT London but it’s pronounced to movement. It’s going to be oversized long-line clothing, so loungewear stuff at first with oversized tracksuits and longline t-shirts, following a really urban, street style."
It's pretty clear that this isn't just another celebrity endorsed clothing line, and Alex has thrown everything into designing a collection that is true to him and his own style.
He revealed that his passion for fashion design came years before he entered the villa, and it all started when he went to town cutting and stitching a t-shirt and sweatshirt together to create a long-line piece reminiscent of the urban style he's famous for.
Fast forward to one year after coming second on Love Island and the star admitted MVMNT has been a long time coming: "I actually created the name and Instagram like a month after I came off Love Island, but because I was that busy I couldn't actually design or make any plans."
Luckily when his fiancé Olivia and his mum went halves on a sketchbook for him, he was inspired to start bringing his ideas to life. In fact, all the items in the collection were designed by Alex himself.
Now he has huge plans for MVMNT's future: "Hopefully next year Olivia is going to bring out MVMNT women’s, so I’ll look at the men’s side and she’ll look at the women’s side which will be really nice," he revealed.
While he has his sights set on a MVMNT women's collab with his bae in the future, his oversized clothing is pretty versatile, and Olivia can't get enough of it.
"The good thing about the oversized clothing is that you can also wear it so that it’s fitted if you want, obviously it’s meant to look oversized but you can buy it true to size too so a real variety of people can wear it. Women can also wear it – the size XS fitted Olivia perfectly and she looks unreal in it."
It's safe to say that the couple are serious style goals, but who takes the fashion crown? Alex revealed: "I plan my outfit before we go out about two days before, I'm probably worse than Olivia!"
The stylish pair are pretty clued up when it comes to each other's style: "I went shopping with my family at Bluewater and I just bought loads of stuff for Olivia, I didn’t even ask her what she wants."
"We both know each other’s style so I bought her a few things and she absolutely loved all of them."
We're not surprised, feel free to shop for us any day please Alex.
