Love Island's Amber Davies Admits She Turned To Alcohol To Cope With Kem Cetinay Split
For many of us, it truly felt like love died the day this year's Love Island winners Amber Davies and Kem Cetinay announced they had split, and now Amber has opened up about how tough it was on her.
The reality star got pretty candid about the breakup on Lorraine this morning, admitting that she turned to alcohol and partying to cope with the "heartbreak."
Take a look at the video to see the celebs who went back to their ex...
Amber revealed: "I definitely used alcohol as a coping mechanism for the heartbreak. You know you drink, drink, drink, you let your hair down and have fun but I took about four steps when I should have just powered through."
The best of us have been tempted to hit the club to deal with a split, but Amber recognizes that it's probably not the best idea and is now very sensibly kicking booze to the curb.
And if any Love Island fans are hoping for a reunion between this year's fave couple, then you could just be in luck. Amber said there is still a chance the pair could reunite in the future after Lorraine pointed out how genuine their love seemed on the show.
"I'm not ruling anything out for the future, we both need to concentrate on our careers," she explained
She added: "We both, well I need to grow up a bit before I commit to anything too serious. But I'll always have a place in my heart for him."
The star was nothing but supportive about Kem's Dancing On Ice debut on Sunday, and had a pretty good response when asked about rumours he's now dating Scarlett Moffatt.
"There's so many rumours and you don't know what to believe but as long as he's happy I'm happy, he deserves to be happy he's such a lovely person. I think [our relationship] was intense and I think that it was a mutual decision, it did fizzle out because we weren't seeing each other but we're still really good friends."
As for potentially finding herself a new romance? Ambs says she's putting her career before guys rn. Sounds like she's got her head screwed on if you ask us.
