Nathan Massey And Cara De La Hoyde Are Crowned Love Island Champions
Nathan Massey and Cara De La Hoyde have been crowned winners of ITV2's Love Island
After six weeks of sun, sea and lots of snogging, Nathan Massey and Cara De La Hoyde have been crowned as the winners of Love Island.
The couple beat off competition from the other remaining pairs in a dramatic final last night.
After presenter, Caroline Flack, revealed the winners, Nathan said: "For once in my life I'm speechless!"
Cara, who couldn't decide if she should laugh or cry, said: "He better not leave me when we get back. I'll be so p****d off."
Nathan added: "I think she deserves a massive round of applause for putting up with me. There are a handful of people in the world who would do it and I found her on Love Island."
Nathan and Cara had been hotly tipped to walk away with the £50k prize after being paired together in the first episode.
The finalists had to tell their partners how they felt in a final task. Cara told Nathan: "Nathan the carpenter. I want to start by thanking you for being here. I never thought coming in here I’d meet someone as special as you, let alone walk in and find my soul mate on the first day.
"I’ve opened up to you about things that I never have before. I know some people think you don’t have that side, but you do – and that’s my Nathan."
Nathan had this to say: "The moment I met you, I gazed into those big green eyes, and you instantly stepped forward, and I didn’t get pied. You have the best eyes, nice boobs and a never-ending arse.
"To go the full way with you and win, now that would be class. Cara, you’re kind, genuine, and funnier than most."
And who said romance was dead?
