Pretty Little Liars' Lucy Hale Responds To Rumours She’s Joining Riverdale
Lucy Hale has had her say on those internet rumours that she could be being lined up to star on the next series of Riverdale.
The former Pretty Little Liars actor has essentially destroyed all our hopes and dreams by coming forward to confirm that there is no truth to thespeculation but did insist that she happens to bea huge fan of the CW show.
'Let's get checking out Riverdale's KJ Apa opening up about the funniest cast moments behind-the-scenes...'
Shutting down thetheories that she could be wandering the corridors of Riverdale High and/or becoming BFFs with Cheryl Blossom, the 28-year-old took to Twitter to write: "Also, there’s a rumor I’m joining Riverdale. Not true. Love the show, but not true."
This comes after reports thather own show, which told the story of a young woman cured of terminal cancer, wasn’t renewed for a second series – with Lucy opening up about how disappointed she was to hear that Life Sentence hadn’t been recommissioned.
“I was emotionally attached to this story and to everyone involved so I'm a little shell shocked right now, but I feel fortunate that we got to tell a really beautiful story," she said.
The silver lining in all this is that there’s still a good chance she could make an appearance in the Pretty Little Liars spinoff, The Perfectionists: "I know they just did the pilot, and I'm sure it'll go to series,” she told Bustle. “If they do, I don't know, it kind of depends if my show goes another season.”
We've got our fingers crossed.
