New Celeb Couple Alert! Lucy Mecklenburgh And Louis Smith Dating

The BBC's gymnastics-based reality show Tumble might not have set the ratings alight, but it does appear to have ignited the flames of passion for two of the people involved.

Olympic medal-winning gymnast Louis Smith - who was a judge on the show - is reported to be dating contestant Lucy Mecklenburgh - formerly of The Only Way Is Essex.

The pair only got as far as having a bit of a flirt while the show was being made, with Lucy apparently deciding that the 5ft 10in athlete was too short for her.

But the reality TV beauty now appears to have realised that size doesn't matter as much as she thought.

"There were lots of rumours about Louis and Lucy when he was judging Tumble and she was a contestant," a source told The Sun.

"It's true they were flirting, but nothing happened. In fact, Lucy went as far as to say he was too short, which must have come as a bit of a blow to his ego."

But a chance meeting led to romance, according to the mole.

"Louis got with someone straight after Tumble but they split and he bumped into Lucy. She must have forgotten about his size because sparks flew and they started dating.

"He took her to a skating rink last Thursday. They had a brilliant time and things are really heating up between them.

"The way things are looking they could be together for a long time."

Louis won Strictly Come Dancing in 2012 and will appear in this year's Christmas special.
