Lukas McFarlane Wins Got To Dance
And 19-year-old says he most wants to work with James Arthur...
Lukas McFarlane has taken the win on Sky 1 reality show Got To Dance, beating nine other finalists to scoop the £250,000 prize fund.
The 19-year-old London-based dancer - who originally hails from Canada - wowed the judges and audience with a performance to Alex Clare's Too Close, getting a standing ovation from panel members Ashley Banjo, Kimberley Wyatt and Aston Merrygold.
And Ashley, the leader of Britain's Got Talent-winning dance troupe Diversity, said: "Normally I find it quite easy to put what I want to say in to words, but with you I can't. I have never, ever been so inspired by a dancer in my life.
"Honestly you have changed my entire outlook on this competition and what to expect of people in this competition. You've raised the bar of Got To Dance."
Interviewed by Digital Spy shortly after his win, Lukas had no hesitation in naming the star he'd most like to work with - The X Factor winner James Arthur.
"I worked for James Arthur on X Factor. I met him a lot, and his voice, I've never ever related to a voice like his.
"When he sings, it's the way I feel when I dance, and I would love to collaborate with him on anything because I just think he is such a true artist. He is so true to what he does and he is not changing for the world. Hearing him makes me want to move, his voice is how I feel. He is an incredible artist."
