Lynden David Hall Dies
The UK vocalist passes away after a long battle with cancer...
Lynden David Hall has died after a two-year battle with cancer.
Hall, who had suffered from the rare cancer Hodgkins Lymphona, passed away on Tuesday night.
He shot to fame in the late 1990s, winning Best Newcomer at the MOBOs in 1998. Lyndens third album In Between Jobs was released last year.
Tributes to Lynden are coming thick and fast following the news of his passing, and among those singing his praises is MTVs Trevor Nelson. "It's the loss of a great talent unfulfilled, said Trevor. At the time, in my capacity as an A&R man, he was one of the biggest talents of his time, and ahead of his time in many ways.
He was a very unassuming guy, very quiet and introverted, not your typical wannabe pop star. It's a sad day for British black music, but knowing Lynden as I do, I hope the attention that this brings him will make people go and re-visit his music."
