Next time rapper Macklemore pops down the Thrift Shop he could be looking for a pram or cot rather than his trademark vintage threads.

The rapper and his fiancée Tricia Davis are expecting a child together - and they've posted a heart-melting video on YouTube to announce it to the world.

[related]Sharing the vid with followers on Twitter, the 31-year-old star (real name Ben Haggerty) wrote: "We wanted to share the news with you ourselves...Love Ben & Tricia"

Beginning in silence the video has the message: "Today the media speculated about some big news in our lives, so we decided to share it with you ourselves. Love, Ben and Tricia."

Then a tender piano line comes in along with a montage of footage of the couple having an ultrasound scan - overcome with emotion as they look at the footage of their unborn child.

The clip ends with the words May 2015 - which we think is safe to assume is when the new arrival is due.

Macklemore proposed to Davis, currently working as his road manager, early in 2013.
