Mad Men Cast Discuss Final Series At LA Premiere
Jon Hamm, Christina Hendricks and more get reflective as the show's final seasons is fast approaching...
The cast of hit drama series Mad Men were out in full force last night at the premiere of the final season in Los Angeles (April 2).
Jon Hamm, Christina Hendricks, Elisabeth Moss and Jessica Pare were on hand to give their opinions on the decision to close the doors of Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce for good, with Hamm - who plays businessman Don Draper - revealing its tough to say farewell.
He explained: "Elisabeth said it best. She's like 'There's going to be laughter, there's going to be tears, there's going to be a lot of acting out.' And it's just part of the process.
"I talked to Tina Fey and Robert Carlock over on '30 Rock' and I talked to Vince (Gilligan) and Bryan (Cranston) on Breaking Bad and they both said like, 'It's tough. It's tough to say goodbye'."
Hamm went on: "You try to bring emotion to it and the emotion is real while you're feeling it. It's hard. He's had a rough road. It's not been all rainbows and sunshine for Don. So constantly being in that dark place is tricky at best."
Christina Hendricks - who plays Joan Holloway in the US show - was in a more reflective mood, stating: "So many things have changed in our lives. We've gotten married and bought homes and had children and gotten puppies.
"The things that happen in your 30s through eight years of someone's life. So I feel like my life has completely changed."
The final season of Mad Men is due to hit Sky Atlantic on April 16 at 10pm.
