The production company behind successful E4 scripted reality show Made In Chelsea is reportedly planning a northern version called Made In Manchester.
Monkey Kingdom is claimed by The Mirror to already be in pre-production for the series, which will apparently star Waterloo Road's Chelsee Healey and designer Nadine Merabi.
And Brooke Vincent, who plays Sophie Webster in Coronation Street, is among the famous faces expected to make cameo appearances in the show.
A source told The Mirror: "The programme will be classy, like a Mancunian version of Sex And The City.
"They want to show Manchester at its best, with only the most glamorous bars, restaurants and nightclubs featured. Lots of auditions have already taken place but they aren't satisfied yet and spots are still up for grabs.
"They only want gorgeous, well-connected people with great stories to tell. Anyone boring won't make the cut."
