Madonna Adoption Mystery Continues

According to reports Madonna has added a new baby to her family - a 13-month-old tot called David from Malawi.

The singer is in the country working on her charity project 'Raising Malawi' and has been papped carrying a baby, thought to be David, on her back.

A source told The Sun, "Madonna was shown a number of pictures of boys at the orphanage but fell for David."

The child's father, who also spoke to the paper seemed to confirm the story, and said, "I'm very happy. As you can see there is poverty in my village. I know (David) will be very happy in America."

Last week it was announced Madge was adopting a child from the country and government officials in Malawi confirmed it - however the star's publicist Liz Rosenberg said she was unable to make an official statement.

Rosenberg was not available to confirm or deny the latest reports today (October 11).
