Madonna is Elle 'Style Icon'

Madonna was named most stylish celeb at the Elle Style Awards last night (February 12).

The disco diva, who's just designed and modelled another collection for H&M, was praised for her ever-evolving 'looks' - from her big hair and lacy gloves of the 80s to her leotards and fishnet of the noughties.

Potty-mouthed popstrel Amy Winehouse, meanwhile, picked up best British music act; slap-happy clothes horse Naomi Campbell picked up the best model gong; Olivier Martinez's mate Penelope Cruz picked up the best film award for Volver, while Thandie Newton won best actress and Jude Law took best actor.

Paul McCartney's daughter and Madge's mate, Stella McCartney, was named best international designer.
