Madonna Launches Tour - With GaGa Mash-Up

Pop legend takes a swipe at younger rival as she sets out on world tour...

Madonna has begun her world tour with a huge stadium gig in Israel - and has performed a mash-up of her Express Yourself with Lady GaGa's Born This Way.
The pop icon had been filmed [uuid=9cc0a3ba-7440-457e-8f1f-a04b887c62df]rehearsing the cheeky swipe[/uuid] at her younger rival earlier in the week, but fans were waiting eagerly to see if she would follow through in her actual concerts.
Ace Showbiz reports that Madge arrived on stage at the Ramat Gan Stadium in Tel Aviv with a huge troupe of backing dancers - and after her GaGa mash-up is claimed to have yelled "she's not me" to the crowd.
In between the hits, she is also reported to have delivered a serious message to the largely Israeli crowd.
Ace Showbiz reports that she said: "If there is peace here in the Middle East, there can be peace in the whole world.
"I chose to start my world tour in Israel for a very specific and important reason. You can't be a fan of mine and not want peace in the world, we all bleed the same colour.
"If we can all rise above our egos and our titles and the names of our countries and our religions, and treat everyone around us with dignity and respect, then we are on the road to peace."
The MDNA tour will continue to London, Milan, Berlin and Paris in Europe - before crossing the Atlantic to the US on August 28, and concluding in Australia next year.
