Madonna has revealed she's nervous ahead of her half-time performance at the Super Bowl on Sunday (5th January).
Speaking to host Jay Leno on the Today Show, the 53-year old also claims that she won't be following in the footsteps of Janet Jackson by flashing a nipple at the prestigious US sporting event.
Madge confessed: "It's the most nerve-racking thing I've ever done. The Super Bowl is like the Holy of Holies of America…And I have to go on in the middle of that 'Holy of Holies' and put on the greatest show that was ever put on."
When asked by Leno if NFL officials had put any restrictions on her Super Bowl stint, the Queen of Pop joked: "Well, for sure no nipples. But I wasn't gonna go there. I mean, I don't like to repeat myself."
Last week, Madonna is thought to have broken down in tears when speaking about her Super Bowl show, admititng that she was "exhausted" from rehearsals.
The Give It 2 Me hitmaker may be nervous about taking to the stage at the event, but Elton John has offered her some advice - urging the star to lip-synch.
Elton, who recently clashed with Madge at The Golden Globes, said: "You have to play live, but I don't think [Madonna] can.
"In all fairness to everyone who's done one before, [she] may be able to sing live, but it's really hard to play live,"
Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. are rumoured to be joining Madonna on stage to sing her new single Give Me All Your Luvin', while Kelly Clarkson will also perform the US National Anthem at the event.
