Madonna On Lady GaGa Duet Snub: "It's Okay"
The Queen of Pop says rejection 'builds a little character'...
Despite tensions between the pair over the similarities between the Queen of Pop's hit Express Yourself and GaGa's song Born This Way, Madonna later invited Lady G to perform with her on the New York date of her MDNA tour.
However, Mother Monster turned down the chance to sing with Madge, blaming her own tour commitments for not taking to the stage.
According to Billboard, Madonna has now told crowds at her show in St. Paul, Minnesota, how she felt about GaGa's snub - insisting that it was "okay."
The Like A Prayer hitmaker stated: "I have the best fans in the whole world. So take that, Lady GaGa!
"You know, I invited her on stage to sing with me. But, she turned me down. It's okay. I've been rejected before. It builds a little character."
