Madonna Texas Gig Scrapped Due To Laryngitis
Doctors have put the Queen of Pop on 'complete vocal rest'...
Madonna was forced to postpone a gig in Texas over the weekend after being struck with laryngitis.
The Queen of Pop was due to bring her MDNA tour to the American Airlines Centre in Dallas on Saturday (20th October), but had to scrap the show after suffering from vocal issues.
According to WENN, doctors advised Madge to cancel the concert, telling the star she was coming down with "severe laryngitis".
The 54-year old has since issued a statement on her official website, claiming: "Under doctor's orders, the Material Girl has been put on 'complete vocal rest'…
"All tickets for the October 20th show to be refunded at the point of purchase. Tickets purchased online will (be) refunded directly.
"Madonna regrets any inconvenience to her fans."
The Turn Up The Radio singer was recently criticised for waving a gun on stage when singing Gang Bang in Denver last Thursday (19th October) and was branded insensitive following the recent shootings at a midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises in nearby Aurora.
Madonna's rep Liz Rosenberg later claimed there was no way to eliminate the scene from the show, claiming it would be "like taking out the third act of Hamlet".
