Magic Mike Sequel Release Date Confirmed
The follow-up is set to hit cinemas next summer...
Those who've been waiting with baited breath since the news of a Magic Mike sequel was announced can now breathe a sigh of relief.
The release date for Magic Mike 2 has now been confirmed.
The much-anticipated film, which will be called Magic Mike XXL, will be released on 4 July 2015.
Greg Jacobs will replace filmmaker Steven Soderbergh in the directing chair, after he decided to retire.
Channing Tatum, who won the Trailblazer award at the MTV Movie Awards last weekend, recently confirmed that he was working on the script with the original's producer Redi Carolin.
Tatum told MTV: "I think everyone's gonna be back. Obviously no-one's deals are done which is always kind of scary".
The star explained how the next Magic Mike film will have a different setting, and won't be as 'dark' as its original.
"This one will be a road trip movie", he revealed.
"Without giving a lot away, we don't wanna make it a really serious, slice-of-life movie. We want to have reality in it, but we don't want to make it some dark drama", Tatum added.
