Maisie Williams Slams Sexist Headline With The Help Of The Shadiest Emojis Ever
The Game of Thrones star wasn't having any of it after spotting a story about her 'braless' appearance at a recent charity event.
She’s used to kicking ass as her character Arya Stark in Game of Thrones, but Maisie Williams knows exactly how to slay off screen as well.
And the teen has proven that yet again, as she’s hit out at a sexist story she read about herself online, and she’s done it in the sassiest way possible.
Maisie had attended the NSPCC Summer Masquerade Ball in Bath over the weekend, which naturally led to a bit of press coverage – you know, because she’s a big ol’ celeb and that.
But rather than focusing on the charity side of things, one site in particular decided that the GoT star’s ‘braless-ness’ was more important. Sigh.
Well, instead of just ignoring it, Maisie decided not to hold back and tweeted the ultimate response.
Screenshotting the headline in question, she wrote: “Alternative [headline]: Game of Thrones actor, Maisie Williams, helps raise thousands at a Summer Masquerade Ball for @NSPCC”.
And then she turned the shade up to 100, by adding the iconic frog and tea emojis.
Maisie’s post has already racked up over 8,000 retweets, with most of the replies consisting of the word SLAAAAAAY - and yes, quite a few of them might be from us.
Seriously, how do we become her best friend?
