Angelina Jolie And Brad Pitt At Maleficent Premiere In London
Hollywood stars walk the blue carpet at Kensington Palace...
While most A-list stars who come to London for movie premieres have to make do with the red carpet in Leicester Square, Hollywood royalty Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt went to the opening of her new film at Kensington Palace last night.
The pair walked a special blue carpet at the world premiere of Maleficent, along with celebs and co-stars from the new live action Disney movie.
And the 38-year-old star used the opportunity to call for more action to secure the release of the 200 schoolgirls kidnapped by the extremist Boko Haram group in Nigeria.
Reuters quoted her as saying: "The important thing though is to understand that this happens because these men think they can get away with this and they can do this.
"We have to start arresting people for this, we have to start bringing them to justice and we have to start making it an absolute crime that puts fear in these men so that they think twice about this kind of action."
While Ange opted for her customary sleek black style, Elle Fanning - who plays Princess Aurora in the movie - was a contrast in a chintzy lemon-coloured dress, which she teamed with flowers in her hair.
Sam Riley and Lesley Manville were among the other stars of the movie present, while other celebs at the "World Of Maleficent" exhibit included Jonathan Ross, Chloe Green, Jimmy Carr and Stella McCartney.
Maleficent opens on 28 May in the UK.
