Man Of Steel 2 Is Happening After All!

While the bad guys of the DC universe have been having all the fun in Suicide Squad, it sounds as though one of its biggest heroes might be about to step back into the spotlight, with reports emerging that we’re going to be getting another standalone Superman movie. That’s right, Man Of Steel 2 is apparently on the way…

This is a bit of a surprise, because while the original film performed reasonably well at the box office, the general feeling was slightly lukewarm towards the man from Krypton.

As a result, Warner drafted Batman into proceedings, and it looked as though the Superman solo saga was pretty much done and dusted. Throw in the release of Suicide Squad, and it certainly felt as though DC’s attentions would remain firmly focused on Gotham.

However, reports claim that Man Of Steel 2 is a “top priority” for the studio, albeit with a release only likely to happen once the next solo Batman film is out of the way.

No further details have been confirmed at this stage, but it seems as though the studio is keen to keep the Superman saga alive, and not just junior to its Justice League storyline.

Looks like Henry Cavill won’t be cancelling that gym membership just yet…
