Mariah Carey Brushes Off Disastrous New Years Eve Performance Shambles

The We Belong Together singer suffered technical problems during her NYE performance in NYC

Mariah Carey has brushed off her disastrous New Years Eve live performance that left fans in New York City – and watching on TV – cold.

The 45-year-old music legend had been booked as the headline act of the Dick Clark’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest.

However technical glitches ruined her performance as her mic failed and she was left awkwardly lip synching and she could be heard barking instructions about her dance moves instead of singing.

Her two song set included classic tune Emotions and more recent tune We Belong Together.

“I’m trying to be a good sport here,” Mimi said after her singing voice boomed, but her mic was nowhere near her mouth.

She also said “It just don’t get any better,” as her set closed – and then later took to Twitter to concede the performance was a shambles.

“S**t happens. Have a happy and healthy new year everybody! Here’s to making more headlines in 2017,” she wrote.

Better luck next time Mimi!
