Mark Ronson Dedicates New Album To Late Friend Amy Winehouse

Uptown Funk hitmaker reveals he continues to be "inspired" by the star, following her death in July 2011...

Mark Ronson has dedicated his new album Uptown Special to late friend and collaborator Amy Winehouse.

The Uptown Funk hitmaker took to Twitter to post a hand-written note titled 'Letter To The Better/Dedication' -where he also mentions US musician Teenie Hodges and and DJ Mehdi,who are also deceased.

[related]Ronson wrote: "This album is dedicated to the memory of Teenie Hodges and DJ Mehdi.

"And to Amy Winehouse - although I wish you were still here, I'm always thinking of you, inspired by you and your music lives on in myself and everyone who ever felt it."

The 27-year old Back To Black singer died in July 2011, with alcohol intoxication given as the reason for her passing.

Mark's new album is due for release in the UK on January 19.
