Mark Wahlberg: ‘Justin Bieber Will Be A Great Actor’

EXCLUSIVE! Broken City star tells us “everybody loves” the script for his Bieber basketball movie…

Hollywood hunk Mark Wahlberg believes Justin Bieber has the talent to be a great actor.

Speaking to MTV News about their upcoming basketball film, Wahlberg told us he thinks Biebs can follow in his footsteps and go from music star to movie star.

“He’s definitely going to be great at it,” said Wahlberg, who had a number 1 hit in the US with Good Vibrations in 1991 when he was the frontman of hip hop group Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch.

“The script is done and everybody loves it – now it’s just a matter of being at the same place at the same time for two or three months to film it. I think he’s going to do a great job.”

Wahlberg also revealed he will reprise his role as John Bennett in the sequel to hit comedy Ted, with Oscars host Seth MacFarlane currently writing the script.

“I have never made a sequel but I can’t wait to do Ted again.”

“Seth is so funny and talented and the movie was so well-received, but the idea for Ted 2 is better than the first one.”

Wahlberg’s latest film Broken City sees the 41-year-old playing Billy Taggart, a New York police officer turned private investigator seeking revenge on the city’s corrupt mayor.

“What I liked about the character is he’s very unapologetic and he’ll do what he has to do,” he explained.

“It’s a really smart, well-written, well-acted, suspenseful, exciting, action crime thriller with some sex, drugs and rock and roll.”

'Broken City is out in cinemas now.'
