Early on in this summer’s memorable Celebrity Big Brother series, you might remember an incident between Marnie Simpson and Saira Khan, in which the Geordie Shore star flashed the Loose Women panellist after being dared to make a post-altercation faux apology.

With the series now over, the Geordie lass has appeared on This Morning to talk about her time in the house, where she faced questions about that flashing incident - including being asked to repeatwhat happened by Eamonn Holmes.

Speaking to Eamonn and Ruth Langsford, Marnie explained: “I went straight from Geordie [Shore] straight in there, so I was still in my Geordie ways and I forgot that, that group of people weren’t my Geordie group of people so there wasboundaries and sometimes I was crossing them, and I was like, ‘Oh God’.”

When Ruth began asking her about the incident with Saira and the reaction it received, Eamonn interrupted, saying: “Just show us what you did to her again,” which Marnie laughed off.

She went on to tell the show’s hosts: “When I came out I was really upset because I’d seen people saying I was a bully, which is completely not true.

“The last thing I wanted to do was offend anyone. It was just supposed to be a harmless joke to lighten the mood because there was a lot of tension in there. If you were there, you’d feel it. It wasn't a very nice place to be and I just genuinely thought it would make people laugh and it really didn’t.”

Marns added: “Maybe I had a little bit too much to drink but that type of stuff is really acceptable on Geordie Shore, so when I'm drunk, I just assumed it would be then but it clearly wasn’t.”
