Last week former Geordie Shore lass Marnie Simpson had everyone convinced that she's on market again when she shared a mysterious Instagram post about being single.

But since then there's been nothing but the sound of tumbleweed on the matter. Until now that is...

Marnie finally broke her silence in an interview with The Sun Online, admitting that it's true they're taking a little breather from each other rn.

"Me and Casey are taking some time apart. I wouldn’t say I am single," she revealed.

So there is still a glimmer of hope that their love could prevail, as she added: "We’re just seeing where it goes."

Marnie is calling it a "break," as she continued: "We have had issues and now we’re taking time to figure out what we both want. It’s not a split it’s a break.”

The pair have been dating since summer 2017, and moved in together earlier this year.

We recently chatted to them when they came by to play a game of Mr and Mrs and we learned a whole lot about them as a couple.

And despite a few disagreements (can anybody ever really agree on who is more jealous?), the results were pretty damn impressive.
