Martin Solveig Used A Social Media Chain Of FIFTY People To Hunt After His Missing Laptop
Check out our interview with Martin Solveig here...
Martin Solveig, the man behind ‘Hello’ and ‘Do It Right’, swung by the MTV offices to talk to us (video above) about how he used social media to find his lost laptop, why he doesn’t think we need albums anymore and his love of tennis (did you know that he's best pals with Novak Djokovic?).
Speaking about the power and “beauty” of social media, Solveig said:
“I lost my laptop at the airport – which I think was pretty standard.
“With the help of Snapchat, Instagram [and] sending Tweets, I managed to find people who were still at the airport who could go to security [to ask after the laptop].
“It became a big chain [of people] and I managed to get it back – which is really crazy.
“So I need to thank the 50 people who have helped me in the process!
"That’s the beauty of social media.”
Martin Solveig released his new single, 'Do It Right' (featuring Australian singer and rapper Tkay Maidza) in June this year. Check that out below:
