Marvel vs Capcom 4 Could Smash Down This Weekend
Ryu v Wolverine could be a reality VERY SOON.
It looks like the new Marvel vs. Capcom 4 game is set to be announced as soon as this weekend. THAT'S RIGHT! Spider-Man beating on Guile or Wolverine slicing up Ryu could be a high-res reality very soon.
According to multiple sources of Polygon, Capcom will announce the new beat ‘em up at Sony’s PlayStation Experience event where the Capcom Cup 2016 Street Fighter 5 tournament will be going down.
The exciting thing about the latest game is that Marvel is rumoured to be dishing out more characters from the recent movies. So expect plenty of Avengers options and even Guardians of the Galaxy greats like Groot. Plus, of course, X-Men regulars like Wolverine and Magneto are expected to appear.
When Capcom’s Marvel license ran out at the end of 2013 there were no more updates to the Marvel vs. Capcom 3 game allowed. Fans, who are many and meet annually for the Evo fighting game tournament to play it, were crying out for updates. Speaking to Polygon on the matter, Marvel Games VP Jay Ong said:
"There's nothing we can say at this time. Let's just say that we hear that a lot. We love our fans and we certainly want to please them. Beyond that we can't say anything at this time. But who knows what the future holds?"
So expect not only a Marvel vs. Capcom 4 game announcement this weekend but perhaps an update to the older game too!
