Mary J Blige Sued For $2m

Production company claim that R&B singer stole one of their songs!

Grammy Award winner Mary J Blige is being sued for $2million (1 million) by a US production company who say that she stole some of their music.

Producer Theron (NEEF-U) Feemster who was working with both Drama Family Entertainment and Mary J at the time wrote the music to Work that. However the company are saying that they own the copyright for the material and that it was stolen from their catalogue.

Company lawyer told the New York Daily News that Drama Family Entertainment "owned the music yet the music was used without permission in a Mary J Blige release recording".

The song which appears on Mary Js most recent number 1 album Growing Pains album is also featured on an iPod commercial.

A lawyer for Mary J was unavailable for comment.
