Mass Effect: Andromeda Gameplay Leaks And The Hype Is Real

The stunning jetpacks, alien stand-offs and more.

Sci-fi gaming fans it's time to get your much-excite face on,' Mass Effect: Andromeda 'gameplay footage has leaked.

In a video leak we've seen a glimpse at what the future holds for Mass Effect, and it looks stunning even in-game.

We mean that literally as there's a visual effects engine that's going to make it difficult to distinguish between the virtual and the real worlds. One thing that should help clarify that is the inclusion of a jet pack.

The jet pack, shown off briefly in the video, appears to allow the player to perform an enhanced jump. It doesn't look like it'll be powerful enough to support sustained flight unfortunately. Not that we're complaining, because, you know, jet pack.

Another scene shows a stand-off between a human and a krogan. Lesson to be learned? Don't hang around when a pollen plume gets let loose.

These clips were thought to date back to 2014, while still in early developmental stages. So how great it looks now, we can barely imagine.

The final version of 'Mass Effect: Andromeda is' due to be released in spring 2017. Too long to wait? Don’t fret - the game's creator, Bioware, is expected to show off a teaser at the E3 games conference in June.
