Matisyahu rolled into town last night for a gig at Londons Hammersmith Palais.
Matisyahu, a New York orthodox Jewish rapper whose sound incorporates hip-hop, reggae, soul and rock, has become something of a talking point in the UK following huge success in the US with the release of his second album Youth, and last night he showed London what all the fuss is about.
Taking the stage dressed in his full Rabbi attire, the New Yorker confidently rapped his way through an eclectic set that showcased his varied vocal styles and abilities.
The highlights in the set, which mixed new and old material, included A Man is Just A Man, that saw a five-minute beatbox breakdown in the middle, and his biggest hit to date King Without A Crown.
