Matt Cardle, may have just landed a £1 million recording contract, but the singer has confirmed that he still plans to sing at his friend's wedding this weekend.
Cardle, who beat Rebecca Ferguson to be crowned the 2010 XF winner last Sunday, claims that despite his new found superstar-status, he will still perform at his pal Chris Heap's nuptials at The Bull pub in his hometown of Halstead in Essex.

Speaking of the gig, the When We Collide singer told MyDaily.co.uk: "We're still doing that, and in fact, the booking is still standing."
"I always said before I went on The X Factor, with gigs we had booked up, 'Mate, if I'm still available, of course I will do it, and I won't charge any more'.

He added: "I will do what I said I would do, because that is what I have been doing. I'm still me and I will still do the gigs."

Matt is also set to play a free gig at HMV's Bayswater store tonight, where he will perform his new single, When We Collide, in his first show since winning the competition.
