Matt Damon Confirms He'll Be Bourne Again

Star returning for fourth turn as rogue assassin in new movie...

Matt Damon WILL play Jason Bourne again, he has revealed.

The star dropped his bombshell during a joint interview with his pal Ben Affleck for E! News, in which they were supposed to be talking about their HBO TV show Project Greenlight.

Asked about the muscular physique he was cultivating for Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice, Affleck replied: "Well, he's going to be doing a Bourne movie next fall when I've just completely lost any semblance of physical fitness. So…"

And when asked to confirm the news, 44-year-old Damon said: "Yes, next year.

"It'll be in 2016 when the movie will actually come out. Paul Greengrass is going to do another one and that's all I ever said. I just needed him to say yes."

British director Greengrass helmed The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum, having taken over from The Bourne Identity director Doug Liman.

The movies are based on Robert Ludlum's novels - and spawned a spin-off movie The Bourne Legacy starring Jeremy Renner.
