Following the exciting news late last year that Matt Damon WILL be playing Jason Bourne again - we now have a date for the comeback movie's release.

The fifth movie in the all-action franchise is set to hit the big screen on 29 July, 2016.

It will be the fourth one to star Damon - following The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum.

The Bourne Legacy, released in 2012, starred Jeremy Renner.

Along with Damon, director and producer Paul Greengrass will also be returning to the franchise for the film - yet to be titled.

It will be taking the slot vacated by the next Planet Of The Apes movie, which has had its release shuffled back to 2017.

When Damon confirmed his involvement last year he said: "Paul Greengrass is going to do another one and that's all I ever said. I just needed him to say yes."
