Matt Willis: “Leave Pete, Tom and Justin Alone”
The singer says people should be kind to Priory-inhabitants Doherty, Chaplin and Hawkins
Matt Willis has lent his support to Pete Doherty, Keanes Tom Chaplin and The Darknesss Justin Hawkins, who are all currently in rehab for drink and drug addiction.
Speaking to MTV UK News the Hey Kid singer said, "For anybody to make the decision to go into rehab its such a brave move. I think they've all been brave admitting to themselves they've got a problem".
I've been in The Priory and come out the other end of it. It's a very good place for people who find themselves in some sort of situation where they can't see a way out - there is a way out.
Recalling his time in the clinic for a drink problem, Matt continued, "It's like, at the darkest moment in your life, you pick up a newspaper and someone's writing really horrible things about you, making a joke out of you and making you feel silly for feeling the way you do.
It's just really hard and people need to back off".
