Maximo Park Get Studious

Maximo Park have become the first band to play Oxford Universitys historic debating hall.

At a super secret gig for Vodafone the Newcastle group played a full set and rocked the 250 strong crowd.

Tom from the group told us: Its quite funny that weve been asked to play on a stage usually used for debating- people must have thought were a bit outspoken!

Maximo Park played tracks including new single Books From Boxes and Our Velocity.

With singer Smith on typically frentric form in his bowler hat they also performed I Want You To Stay and an encore of Going Missing.
