McBusted Take Part In Vintage Bike Race For Sport Relief

McBusted joined forces with Sport Relief for a challenge which involved racing vintage bicycles.

The supergroup - consisting of McFly and Busted - donned various period costumes for the task, which each member selecting a different bike, ranging from the 1800s to the 1990s.

They then competed in a race in a bid to encourage people to sign up for this year's Sainsbury's Sport Relief Cycle.

McFly frontman Tom Fletcher - who revisited the 1970s for the challenge, riding a Chopper - stated: "We've been involved with Sport Relief for the past few years, running a Mile in 2006 and visiting projects in Uganda a year later, to see how money raised by ordinary people for Comic Relief is spent changing people's lives.

"It was an emotional but inspiring trip, and we want everyone to show us their awesome pedal power by signing up to help raise cash this year."

Busted star Matt Willis went on to win the race, riding to victory on a 1800s-style penny farthing bike.

Sport Relief takes place on Friday, March 21 on BBC One - with the likes of Jack Whitehall and Gary Lineker acting as hosts.

The first ever Sainsbury's Sport Relief Games is due to take place from March 21 until March 23.
