McFly’s New Album Is Free
The band havent got a record deal so theyve signed with a Sunday paper
McFly are following in the footsteps of Prince by giving away their new album Radio: Active in the Mail On Sunday. The four-piece recently left their record label Island Records and set up their own Super Records. Singer Tom Fletcher revealed about the new strategy: "We get to put it into almost three million homes, which is an incredible opportunity for us. "Hopefully the three million people will all enjoy the music and they'll decide to see us when we go on tour." Prince, Madness and Mike Oldfield have all had the records given away in the same Sunday paper. However the move is bound to be controversial within the music industry who believe giving away records for free devalues music.
