If there's one celeb we'd want on our side during a crisis it's Mel B.

You just know that the X Factor judge and former Spice Girls star would keep a cool head and wouldn't take any BS from anybody.

And she demonstrated that yesterday when her husband Stephen Belafonte was struck with crippling back pain.

Rather than call for an ambulance, Mel took matters into her own hands and drove her fella to the emergency room at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles.

Then, cool as a cucumber, she went on her way on to work - which happened to be an appearance on US chat show The View.

And of course - Mel being Mel - she proceeded to give the world chapter and verse on the incident.

No need to worry about Belafonte's health however, because he popped up on Twitter later to reassure his followers that he's OK.
