Eddie and Mel hit the end of the road, Courtney recieves a Royal visit and Lily was close to landing the Sugababes...
Eddie Murphy has exclusively told a Dutch TV station that he has split from former Spice Girl Mel B - but the former Dr Doolittle did a lot to rub salt into pregnant Mel's wounds by saying that the baby she carries might not be his!
When asked how he felt about Mel B's being pregnant with his child, the 46 year old comic snapped: "I don't know whose the child is until it comes out and has a blood test. You shouldn't jump to conclusions."
If the worlds press have been jumping to conclusions they were given a friendly shove in the direction by the couple. Murphy said, as recently as September, that he was "madly in love" with Mel.
While the mum to be was reported as saying, just hours before Murphy's revelation: "We're in love and we get on really well. I can't wait to spend Christmas with him and I can't wait to have this baby."
Mel is currently 5 months pregnant, so a spring birth - and perhaps a spring revelation - are on the cards
Another transatlantic love affair that nearly (maybe) could have been was between Courtney Love and no, not Steve Coogn this time, but wait for it
Prince Andrew? Surely not!
But surely yes, if The Daily Star is anything to go by. The Queen of rock chick's said the Prince turned up at her door at 1am on an evening six years ago (yes, we know it's a long time but it's still funny!) saying he was looking for a party.
Former Mrs. Nirvana, however, was dressed more like the Prince's mum in fluffy slippers and a robe and had no choice but to turn him and his heavies away. Love is quoted as saying: "He'd come to Hollywood looking for chicks. I don't know what he expected to find at my house."
Hmmm, can't think what he expected to find either Courtney
Even more shocking is the news that Lily Allen was once short listed for becoming a Sugababe - how fantastic would that have been!
The gobby girl of rock joining the sweet soul sisters of pop? Can you imagine?
Lily went some way towards telling us what would happen in a recent interview with Uncut Magazine when she said: "Everything about them makes me cringe. I'm not sure I'd want to take them on in a fight though. There's three of them. If there was three of me, I'd beat them."
Maybe record exec's made the right move letting Lily go it alone
But well ... wouldn't it have been fun!
