M.I.A gave birth to a baby boy last Wednesday- she has revealed on her blog.

Though she didnt reveal the child's name, she called him the most amazing thing ever on this planet.

M.I.A performed live at the Grammys on her due date- with rappers Kanye, Jay Z, T.I and Lil Wayne.

Soon after she entered the early stages of labour. The Sri-Lankan born star who grew up in London wrote:

"I came home from the Grammys in the mood to party. I could have gone out but I went home instead. Lucky I did because my early stages of my labour kicked in about 2am."

M.I.A has released two critically acclaimed albums- Arular and Kala.
