A new M.I.A track called Born Free has hit the internet

It’s the Sri-Lankan-born-South-London-raised-New York-based star’s most rock-y music to date.
The punk-rock song features a chorus that repeats the line “I was born free” over heavy drums and bass guitar.
The lyrics are fairly typical of the rapper- referencing ‘Utopia’, ‘Ethiopia’ and ‘Slovakia.’
The most memorable line runs: “I don’t wanna live for tomorrow/ I push my luck/ I throw this in your face when I see ya/ Cos I got something to say”
Born Free is likely to feature on M.I.A’s forthcoming third album- due out on June 29. Last weekend at Coachella Festival she announced the news by flying a blimp over fans featuring the release date.
The new disc is expected to feature production from Diplo, Switch and Rusko.
