The First Trailer For Jewellery Crime Movie 'King Of Thieves' Looks So Good
Oh it’s a right royal cockney knees-up in the new trailer for King Of Thieves, the big-screen retelling of the 2015 Hatton Garden robbery. At least it is until the finger-pointing starts, as Michael Caine’s crew of ageing gangsters start to turn on each other…
The new trailer shows plenty of knockabout banter between Caine and co-stars Ray Winstone, Jim Broadbent and Paul Whitehouse, before the tone shifts to something a little more tense as the law comes knocking. And as the tag-line makes crystal clear, there’s no honour amongst thieves.
Check out the new trailer, below…
King Of Thieves isn’t the first film to cover the heist, but with a cast-list that reads like a who’s-who of British cinema, it’s certainly the most hotly-anticipated. And any film that has Michael Caine citing Spider-Man as a role model is okay by us.
Directed by James Marsh and co-starring Charlie Cox, Michael Gambon and Tom Courtenay, King Of Thieves will open in the UK on 14 September 2018.
