Celebs React To Jacko's Death

Stars pay tribute to the King of Pop...

As the world wakes up to the tragic news that Michael Jackson has died, celebrities have started to pay tribute to the Thriller star.

Many can't believe that the King of Pop has passed away, whilst others simply paid their respects to the legend.
Madonna is said to be 'devastated' by the death of Jackson as she paid tribute to the star stating: "I can't stop crying over the sad news. I've always admired Michael Jackson - the world has lost one of its greats, but his music will live on forever."
She added: "My heart goes out to his three children and other members of his family. God bless."

Singer Celine Dion has stated: "I am shocked. I am overwhelmed by this tragedy. Michael Jackson has been an idol for me all my life."
Cher remembered Jacko for his greatest gift: "He was a great singer - God gives you certain gifts, and this child was just an extraordinary child touched by this ability. He could sing like nobody else and he was able to connect with people."

Justin Timberlake has contributed by stating: "We have lost a genius and a true ambassador of, not only pop music, but of all music. I can't find the words right now to express how deeply saddened I am by Michael's passing."
The Rock Your Body singer added: "He has been an inspiration to multiple generations, and I will always cherish the moments I shared with him onstage and all of the things I learned about music from him, and the time we spent together. My heart goes out to his family and loved ones."
Legend Donna Summer said: "I will personally miss him, I will miss his light, I will miss his star, I will miss who he has caused other people to become because of his greatness. He upped the standard."
Fellow female singer Dionne Warwick tributed the star saying: "We have lost an icon in our industry and my heartfelt condolences go out to his family and children in this hour of sorrow. He will live on in my memory, and most definitely through the music he shared with so many."
Meanwhile, rapper Ludacris also joined those paying tribute declaring: "If it were not for Michael Jackson, I would not be where or who I am today. His music and legacy will live on forever. Prayers to the family."

Rap star P Diddy also honoured the singer by stating on Twitter: Michael Jackson showed me that you can actually see the beat. He made the music come to life!! He made me believe in magic. I will miss him!”
Wyclef Jean said: "Michael Jackson was my musical god. He made me believe that all things are possible, through real and positive music...He can live forever. I love Michael Jackson. God bless him."
R n B singer Ne-Yo made a lasting tribute to Jacko by saying: "Michael Jackson will live forever through the thing that he put all of his life energy into: his music. Long live Michael Jackson."
Confessions singer Usher offered his condolences stating: "My heart goes out to the King of Pop and his family" whilst Arnold Schwarznegger claimed: "He was one of the most influential and iconic figures in the music industry."
Jacko's ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley, who married the star in 1994 also commented on the death of her previous husband stating: "I am so very sad and confused with every emotion possible,"
Elvis' daughter added: "I am heartbroken for his children who I know were everything to him and for his family. This is such a massive loss on so many levels, words fail me."
Jacko's close friend Uri Geller is deeply saddened by the news saying: "I'm just devastated, very, very sad. I pray that his soul is up there now. I'm still trying to hold on to the glimmer that it is not true. It is too surreal for me to absorb that Michael is no longer with us..."
Katy Perry was said to be in shock at the news by simply twittering: "Oh My God" whilst John Mayer remembered Jacko as “the '83 moonwalking, MTV owning, mesmerizing, unstoppable, invincible Michael Jackson."
Teen star Miley Cyrus has stated that Jacko was her 'inspiration' as actress Lindsay Lohan expressed her anguish over his death by claiming: "I feel sick".
Fellow actress Demi Moore also paid tribute whilst also remembering Charlies Angels star Farrah Fawcett who also passed away yesterday.
She stated: "I am greatly saddened for the loss of both Farrah Fawcett and Michael. Especially for their children!"
The Glastonbury festival was also rocked by the sad news with acts such as Blur and Calvin Harris paying their tributes to the Bad hit-maker.
Graham Coxon of Blur fame simply said: "It's...sad" as Calvin Harris twittered: "I can't believe it, Michael Jackson rest in peace.”
He late tweeted: "Prince and Michael where I come from was our Elvis and Beatles..show sum Respect!!!”
