Fans Pay To See Jacko… Again

Second money- spinning event in two days, as Jackson watches from the wings

Jackos Japanese jaunt is raking in the cash for the singer, as he held his second party in two nights where fans paid just to be near him.

On Thursday night he held a lavish, $3,500-a-ticket gala in eastern Tokyo where there were dance and gospel shows, and each of the 300 ticket holders went home with a bottle of champagne " but Jacko didnt perform himself, and only addressed a few words to guests.

Reading from a statement, he said: Japan is one of my favourite places to visit in the world. I want to thank all of you for making me the biggest-selling artist in Japan.

And Thursday nights party was held at a Tokyo nightclub. This time it was a lower budget affair, with tickets going for a more reasonable $130 and 1,000 fans packing out the club, where they were treated to a stage show. Jacko, however, restricted himself to the second floor VIP room, watching proceedings from on high.

Japan is one of his strongest fanbases, and when he arrived last Saturday he was met by a screaming mob at the airport. His next stop is to be a visit to a US military base in Kanagawa.
