The music video for Michael Jackson's new single 'A Place With No Name' has premiered on Twitter.

Previously unseen footage of the late singer is featured throughout, with outtakes and behind-the-scenes looks from the video for Jackson's 1992 single In The Closet.

[related]The video was a milestone of sorts, marking the first time a music video has premiered on the micro-blogging website.

Fans in Times Square, New York were treated to a first look at the video as it was broadcast simultaneously on the Sony screen.

A Place With No Name, which is taken from Jackson's post-humous Xscape album, is a 'contemporising' of unfinished work with added production from the likes of Stargate and Timabaland.

The short film was directed by Samuel Bayer, who is know for his work on music videos such as Robbie Williams's Angels and Nirvana's Smell Like Teen Spirit.
