MJ Tribute Gig Cancelled
But the good news is it’s gonna take place in London instead…
The Michael Jackson Tribute concert that was scheduled to take place in Vienna later this month has been cancelled; but will nowtake place in London in 2010 instead.
The concert, which was to take place at Vienna’s Schoenbrunn Palace on September 26, had promised a host of big name artists to pay tribute to the King Of Pop.
But following reports that two of the headline acts – Mary J. Blige and Chris Brown – were to pull out of the event, organisers have pulled the plug, opting to host the event in London next year instead. "Maybe we underestimated these issues," said organiser Georg Kindel this afternoon.
"It was very difficult to put up the show, which normally needs six months.
"Due to this fact, we decided to reschedule the event for the first half of June 2010, but not in Vienna, in London."
