Michelle Keegan has been a busy girl since she left the cobbles of Coronation Street last year.

First she landed a part in high-budget BBC One drama Ordinary Lies and she's also been launching her own fashion collection in collaboration with Lipsy.

But now she's revealed that she's set to make the leap to the big screen, with a hush-hush movie role.

She told The Sun: "I have been offered a role, which is so exciting. It's a feature film. I can't say much more about it but it's a huge opportunity."

And she said her experience working on Ordinary Lies had convinced her that leaving Weatherfield was the right decision.

"The first job after Corrie was either going to make me feel like I'd made the right decision or the wrong decision," she explained.

"But I wasn't homesick. Everyone was really welcoming. I'm feeling really positive about this year."

And so she ought to be, since she's marrying fiancé Mark Wright at some point too!
