Mick Jagger Laughs Off 'Jinx' Claims Over Brazilian World Cup Defeat
The musician insists he isn't to blame for some of the shocking defeats at this year's World Cup...
Mick Jagger has laughed off the idea that he jinxed the Brazilian national football team, after their staggering 7-1 defeat to Germany in their World Cup semi-final.
Having suffered a six-game losing streak in the past four years, any team which receives Jagger’s public endorsement seems to go on to lose games.
Brazilian fans have even been dressing cut-outs of The Rolling Stones in the colours of those up against their home nation, hoping to break the curse.
In a statement release to NME, he said: "OK, I take responsibility for the first German goal… but not the other 6!"
During this year’s World Cup, Jagger has on a number of occasions shown his support for several countries including England, Italy and Portugal, leaving them all to lose out in their next match.
