Mick Jagger Pays Tribute To L'Wren Scott: "I Will Never Forget Her"
Rolling Stones frontman calls late fashion designer his "best friend" in emotional statement following her death...
As we previously reported, the fashion designer was found dead in her Manhattan apartment, with Jagger saying at the time he was "completely shocked and devastated" when first told the news.
Jagger has now added: "I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way.
"We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for ourselves."
He continued: "She had great presence and her talent was much admired, not least by me.
"I have been touched by the tributes that people have paid to her, and also the personal messages of support that I have received. I will never forget her, Mick."
The Stones were forced to cancel a scheduled show in Perth, Australia following news of Scott's death, with Jagger's daughter Georgia May also opting out of an appearance at the Melbourne Fashion Festival.
The chief medical examiner's office is yet to determine the cause of L'Wren's death, with sources adding that police do not suspect foul play.
